L(lena) de Mierda (“Full of Shit”) was a book project made for a Typography class taken at La Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

The title is a play-on-words of my name which I used to make a mockery of the horrific calligraphic work I had turned in earlier in the semester due to a wrist injury.

The book was printed in November 2018 on two different papers and bound with a needle and red binding floss.

Because I have carpal tunnel in my dominant hand, it made it nearly impossible to write using the calligraphic pen. I made light of that experience by defining the syndrome as “an injury from hell, the enemy of designers”
